Description:  Period End Filtering

It is helpful to setup period end filter values for buyers in an area with lots of slow moving products, such as cosmetics.  By setting these
filters, those extremely slow moving products will be filtered out when period end exception batches are generated on the 1st of every
month.  Without the filters set, a buyer would have several hundred period end exceptions every month on products that do not need to
be reviewed.  

You will end up adding 5 records total; one each for:

            PE type 1 (demand filter high check) 
            PE type 2 (demand filter low check) 
            PE type 3 (tracking signal trending up) 
            PE type 4 (tracking signal trending down) 
            PE type 5 (service level target check)  

In order to set these period ending filter values, choose option 8. Management Controls from the main menu, 5. Buy group period
ending filter values, and F6=Add to add a new record.  

Below is a picture of the K3S_4010 screen.  A list of suggested default filter values is given below the picture.

Enter the following suggested default filter values:

    Check type:                                                                                     PE1, PE2, PE3, PE4, or PE5
    Forecast difference less than (expressed in units):                         3.00
    Forecast difference less than (expressed in dollars):                      20.00 
    Filter products with changes to forecast in last 30 days flag:          1=Yes

The last step to set the period ending filters is to set the PER_FILTER (Period ending filter installed) switch to 1=YES under table code
type NJP (Night Job Parameters). 

To do this, take option 9. Operations from the main menu, 3. Table codes, Page down until you are able to 1=Select on Type NJP.

Now use option 2=Change on Value PER_FILTER.  

Set Flag 1 to 1=YES and press ENTER. Below is a picture of the PER_FILTER record set up for period end filtering:
