Using Non-standard Library Names for QRY Batch

Description:  Protecting K3S jobs from being ended. If your company uses library names other than the standard K3S library names, then there are a few settings to change in order for the selected records review batch type of QRY to work.  The standard K3S library names are: K3S_5DTA     contains data K3S_5OBJ     contains objects K3S_5MOD   contains modified objects K3S_5DLY     contains the customer's unmodified version of file K_INTPROD before the night job runs K3S_5CNV    contains conversion programs K3S_5QRY    contains queries Most companies do use our standard K3S library names but one example of when your company would not have the standard names is for the K3S Store Level environment. The K3S Store Level environment uses the following names compared to the standard K3S environment: K3S_5DTA is called K3S_5STDTA K3S_5OBJ is called K3S_5STOBJ K3S_5MOD is called K3S_5STMOD K3S_5DLY is called K3S_5STDLY K3S_5CNV is called K3S_5STCNV K3S_5QRY is called K3S_5STQRY  The example below will show the settings to change in order for the QRY batch to work with the K3S Store Level environment names described above.  1)  Start from the K3S Main Menu and choose option 9.Operations, then choose option 3.Table codes from the next menu, use option 1=Select on Table Code Type APP – Application controls, and then use option 2=Change on Table Code Value K3S_3100  LIB_FILE. You should be on the screen pictured below. You will want to change Description 2 from K3S_5DTA to the name of your company's data library: 2) When you are back to the list of your APP table code records, use option 2=Change on Table Code Value K3S_3100  LIB_QRY. You should be on the screen pictured below. You will want to change Description 2 from K3S_5QRY to the name of your company's library that holds K3S queries: 3) When you are back to the list of your APP table code records, press F12=Previous to get back to the list of Table Code Types. Use option 1=Select on type LIB Library names for application. Start by doing a 2=Change on table code value K3S_5CNV. You should be on the screen pictured below. You will need to change Description 1 from K3S_5CNV to the name of library that contains the K3S conversion programs. After you complete this change you will need to use 2=Change on the remaining LIB table code records and change the Description 1 value to the name of the library your company is using in place of the standard K3S library name. 4) Press F3=Exit several times until you are out of the K3S system and back to a command line.  Type WRKQRY on a command line. Your screen should look like the one below. Put 2 into the Option field, k_prodqry1 into the Query field, and change the Library from K3S_5QRY to the name of your company's library that holds K3S queries. When the Define the Query screen appears, use option 1=Select on Specify file selections. You screen should look like the one below. Change the library from K3S_5DTA to the name of your company's K3S data library. Go back to the Define the Query screen and use option 1=Select on Select output type and output form. In the Define Database File Output screen you will need to change the library from K3S_5DTA to the name of your company's K3S library. 5) You have now completed the necessary changes in order to run the QRY batch with non-standard K3S library names.
