SUMMARY Product History screen 1 of 10 (Product Demand) displays 5 years of history for a product. You may check the product for seasonality and assign a profile, modify the average or remove a profile from this screen. The screen name will change according to the path you take to get there (K3S_3030 or K3S_3031), but the screen layout is the same. Way to get to K3S_3030: 4. Loc (Location) Display only The location associated with the order. Supplier Display only The supplier associated with the product. Product Display only The product number. Descript1 (Description 1) Display only Product description 1 is displayed here. Descript2 (Description 2) Display only Product description 2 is displayed here. Unit Display only The unit of measure associated with the product. Birth Display only The date the product was first entered into the Replenish. Regular Cost Display only The normal cost per unit shown. This line is under your control Display Only A 78 character long, dynamically built text field, that can contain information from either Replenish or the Host System or a combination of both. Periods 1-13 Display only Variable Heading What the customers demanded each period/monthly/weekly depending on what the user's preferred periods are set up as. Compst (Composite) Display only The composite line is used to build seasonal profiles, which are then used to make seasonal factors. Built from the previous three years, more recent years are more heavily weighted. Factor Display only Calculated from the Composites, the purpose of these is to help build seasonal profiles. Seasonal profiles are optionally used. PTD sales (Period To Date Sales) Display only The sales until now, for this period. Ptd demd (Period to date demand) Display only This consists of PTD sales + PTD Outs (Out of Stocks). Average The current period average. Dev (Deviation) Display only This is an indication of stability. The lower the deviation, the more predictable and the less safety stock we need. The higher the deviation, the less predictable and the more safety stock we need. T/S (Tracking Signal) A self adjusting value used to place more emphasis on recent history when a product is trending up or down. The T/S amount is not shown unless it is greater than the defaulted amount of + or - .30. It doesn’t really mean much until then. Profile Seasonality profile ID, if set up, is shown here. On hand Display only The amount of this product currently in stock. On order Display only The amount of this product that is currently being ordered. Balance Display only Calculated balance when building orders. Multiple Display only The buy multiple for building suggested orders. Source F4 capable If a profile has been created, this will show the source of the creation. The choices are: S System Generated profile U User Created profile V System generated, user viewed profile S System generated – This code is not yet being used in K3S, but the code has been reserved for future use. Future plans are to have the K3S system automatically generate profiles for products without human intervention. When that happens the code of ‘S’ will be used to identify these specific profiles. U User created profile – This code describes profiles that the user created and the K3S system information was not used to determine the pattern. V System generated, user viewed – This code describes profiles that were created by the K3S system, and the user did not make any changes to the generated patterns, but the user did approve the K3S recommendation. Note: This field will not be displayed if there is no profile set up. Last ovr-rde (Last Over-ride) Display only The date of the last manual adjustment made to the average. Activated If a profile has been created, the date the profile was activated/started. User (Status codes) F4 capable This status code is assigned by the user. The valid User Status Codes are: Blank No specific user code assigned F Forecast frozen M Manual P Probation W Watch System (Status codes)F4 capable Display only This status code is assigned by the system. The valid System Status Codes are: D Discontinued L Lumpy N New R Regular S Slow Target Display only The service level target percentage. Last Display Only The service level achieved last period. Function Keys for the Product History screen F14=All Transfers the user to the ‘All Locations For a Product’ K3S_8000 screen. F19=Log Transfers the user to the “Product Forecast Changes Log” screen. F20=Toggle product history types There are ten possible Product History types to view. If your site is not using all ten the system allows the user to customize the K3S_3030 Product History screen to display only Product History Types that are used. F21=History/Re-average This function pulls up a “What if” screen where the user can test different points in history. What if we started history in period 7? Simply put the cursor where you want to start and press enter. No permanent updates are made until F21=Accept Changes is pressed. F12=Previous will back the user out with no changes made. F22=Composite This function pulls up a “What if” screen which allows the user to enter values into the Composite fields. F23=Profile This function pulls up a “What if” screen which allows the user to enter a value in the Profile field and the T/S field. |
