K3S_2020 - Supplier Variable Order Cycle

Note: A red 'D' will appear next to the Order Cycle on various screens denoting a 'Variable Order Cycle'.

Field Descriptions

Location

The location associated with the supplier ID.

Supplier   (Supplier ID)

The supplier ID is shown here.

Sub-code

This ten character field provides the buyer with a way to sub define the product groups within a supplier.

Name        (Supplier Name)


                    The name of the supplier.

 
           Daily format           Display field

                   

                    The seven days of the daily cycle are shown here.

 
Order Cycle

                    

The order cycle for each day can be entered here. An order cycle is used to formulate a pattern for ordering. Build an order large enough that it will last say 3 cycle days. The user defines how long this cycle should be here.

 

            Lead Time

                    

In order for these fields to be enabled or available to use, the ‘Use lead time values’ flag at the bottom of the screen must be set to an On/1 position, otherwise the fields will be thought to be not in use and therefore protected from input possibilities.

 

Days


                    For each day, the number of days needed to fill this order.

 

Variance


For each day, the percentage the Lead Time Days is not exactly correct. In our example, 20% of the time, the Lead Time Days needed is not 14. It may be more or less by a day or two. It basically shows its accuracy level at predicting. 

 

Weekly Distribution


                    If you know from past history that the amount needed each day is not equal, the Weekly Distribution fields can be set to show how much product is required each day.

 

                    Note:

In order for these fields to be enabled or available to use, the ‘Use weekly distribution values’ flag at the bottom of the screen/column must be set to an On/1 position, otherwise the fields will be thought to be not in use and therefore protected from input possibilities.

 

Daily usage


The percentage of distribution on that specific day. In our example more inventory is ordered on Monday and Tuesday,  Wednesday is the lowest, ordering only 11.70% that day. 

                      The total of this column should equal 100%.

 

Safety stock


Assign an exact amount of safety stock to a specific day. The total safety stock does not have to equal 100. It is totally up to the user to assign how much safety stock to carry.

 

Use lead time values                                           


                    Set On/1 to use Lead Time values. The default is Off/0.

 

Use weekly distribution values        


                    Set On/1 to use Weekly Distribution values. The default is Off/0.

 

Function Keys    

            

            F2=All


                    Transfers the user to the Product Weekly Distribution K3S_3420 screen where individual product daily usage and safety stock  percentages can be setup.

 

          F7=Weekly history


                    Transfers the user to the Suppliers Weekly Distribution screen.

 

          F12=Previous


                    To get to the previous screen selected.

 

          F13=Remove record


                    This will delete what was created here and return the user to the Supplier Information screen. A warning message will be given before a delete will take place.
