Description: These instructions will tell you how to use F5=Copy history from the K3S_3030 screen to copy history from one product to another. One example of when you can use this is if a new product is replacing another product and the new product does not have any history. 1. Start at the Main Menu and choose 4. Suggested orders and press ENTER. 2. You are now on K3S_1010. Press F2=All to get all of your suppliers to appear. Now use 1=Select to pick the supplier you want to work with and press ENTER. 3. You are now on K3S_1020. Press F2=All to bring up all of the products for this supplier. 4. You are now on K3S_1030. Place option 3=History next to the product you want to either copy history from or copy history to, and press ENTER. By doing this you will jump out to the history screen for the selected product. 5. You are now on K3S_3030 as pictured below. Notice that our product below has no history appearing because it is a new product. As an example, we will copy history from another product to this current product. 6. Press F24=Function keys one time to bring up a list of all available function keys for this screen. 7. Below is a picture of the available function keys for the K3S_3030 screen. Press F5=Copy history. 8. After pressing F5=Copy history you will move to the K3S_3010 screen shown below. This screen gives you a place to enter a product to copy history From and a product to copy history To. The product whose history you were just looking at will automatically appear as both the From and the To product. 9. Now you can change either the From or To product in order to copy history the way that you want. You must know a product’s Location, Supplier, and Product ID. If you do not know this information, you can press F4=Prompt on the Product ID field to bring up a list of all products. 10. Once you have the correct From and To products entered, you have two choices: Add the From product’s history to the To product’s history (press F15=Add history and average) Replace the To product’s history with the From product’s history (press F19=Replace history and average) 11. You can also use the History multiplier if you would like to copy the history over in a factor other than 1.0. Example: If you think the product you are copying history To will only sell half as much as the product you are copying From, then you could put in a factor of 0.50. Or, if you think the To product will end up selling 25% more than the From product, then you could use a factor of 1.25. 12. After making your selection you will get a transaction completion message on the screen. As an example, we chose to F19=Replace history and average. See the transaction message in the screen below: 13 After you have completed the copy, press F12=Previous to return to the K3S_3030 screen. You will now see the newly copied history appearing for the product. See example below: |
