Use F17=Hold Out Quantities from the K3S_1040 Screen

1. Start from the main menu and choose option 4. Suggested Orders and press Enter.

2. You are now on the K3S_1010 screen.  Use option 1=Select and press Enter to select the supplier you want to work with.

3. You are now on the K3S_1020 screen. Press F2=All to bring up all products for this supplier.

4. You are now on the K3S_1030 screen.  Use option 1=Select and press Enter to choose the product you want to work with.

Note that you can use 1=Select with F21=Start to work with products that are not next to each other in sequence. You can even use the Page Down key and select products that are on different pages.

Example:    See below that we have chosen various products that are not next to each other in the list.  By using a combination of 1=Select and F21=Start we will only work the products that we have selected.

5. You are now on the K3S_1040 screen.  Press F17=Hold out quantities.

Note:   If you are confused about how we knew to press F17 to access the Hold out quantities, press F24=Function keys one time to see a list of all function keys for the K3S_1040 screen.

6. You are now on the K3S_3050 screen as shown below. Press F6=Add to add a new product hold out quantity. Note that pressing F6=Add will automatically setup a product hold out record for the product you were previously viewing on the K3S_1040 screen.

Example:    We were previously viewing product #720023 on the K3S_1040 screen and thus we see this product appearing on the K3S_3050 screen.

7. After pressing F6=Add a window will pop up asking you to choose the location for this product’s hold out quantity.  Use option 1=Select and press Enter to choose the appropriate location.

8. You are now on the K3S_3050 screen in Add mode as shown below.  Notice that this screen is defaulting to product #720023, as mentioned earlier.  You have the ability to change the product if needed.

You now need to fill out several pieces of information for the hold out quantity:
    Begin date of the hold out
    End date of the hold out
    Reason for the hold out
    Product number (if different than what has been defaulted here)
    Hold out quantity

9. Once you have completed the required fields, press Enter to generate the hold out record.  You will receive a confirmation message that the hold out quantity has been generated.  
 
Example:    See message in screen below ‘720023 added with qty 0000008’

10. Now that you have received your completion message, you can choose to enter another product hold out quantity by entering new values into the required fields and pressing Enter.  Once you have finished entering all of the necessary hold out quantities, press F12=Previous.

11. You are now back to the K3S_3050 screen as shown below.  You will see a list of all the hold out records you have generated.

    Example:    We can now see our record appearing below for product #720023

If we had generated hold out quantities for multiple products, then we could see a Total quantity on hold at the bottom of the screen.
