Description: If you are a multi-location company, there will be times when you will need to perform a transfer request. This guide will walk you through the steps of finding products that are overstocked at one location so that you can create a transfer request to move the product to the out-of-stock location. 1. Starting from the Main Menu choose option 4. Suggested orders and press Enter. 2. You are now on the K3S_1010 screen. Use option 1=Select and press Enter to pick the supplier you want to work with. 3. You are now on the K3S_1020 screen as seen below. Locate the ‘OV’ section of the Totem Pole. A code of ‘OV’ stands for ‘Overstocked at another location’. Products are placed under the ‘OV’ category when you need to order more of the product at one location yet you are overstocked with the same product at another location. Example: The screen below shows us there is 1 product that is overstocked at another location that is needed at the current location.  4. Put ‘OV’ into the ‘Select check’ field and press Enter. 5. You are now on the K3S_1030 screen as shown below. You are only seeing the products that are overstocked at another location. Use option 7=All and press Enter to see all locations for the product.  6. You are now on the K3S_8000 screen as shown below. This screen will show the order status of the product at every location in the company. This screen also shows you the ‘Excess’ product at locations that are overstocked with the current product. Locations with Overstock are also noted with an asterisk (*). Example: See below that Location 01 has an Excess of 10 units.  7. Put option 2=Transfer next to a Location with Excess units and press Enter. By doing this step you are choosing the Location you will perform the transfer with. Example: See below that we picked Location 01 to perform the transfer with. 8. You are now on the K3S_8011 screen as shown below. This screen contains product transfer information and you will find that the Transfer From and Transfer To Locations have been automatically filled in by the system. Also, based upon how much product one location needs and how overstocked the other location is, the system has automatically calculated a suggested Transfer Quantity. Note that all of these fields can be overridden. Example: See below that the computer has automatically designated the From Location as Loc 01 (Illinois), To Location as Loc 02 (Texas), and the Transfer quantity as 9 units.  9. After you have changed or decided to keep the values appearing on the K3S_8011 screen, press Enter to process the Transfer request. 10. You are now back to the K3S_8000 screen as seen below. You will now see a red asterisk and red On hand value on this screen. This means that there is a Transfer request in progress. Example: In our example there is a red asterisk and red on hand value of 11 units for Loc 01, because Loc 01 is currently in the process of transferring product to Loc 02.  11. Use option 6=View transfer on the location with the red asterisk and red on hand value press Enter. This will allow you to view the transfer that is in progress. 12. You are now on the K3S_8010 screen and you will see a list of all transfer entries for the current product. You can use options 2=Change, 4=Delete, or 5=View on any transfer entry in the list.
