Description: These instructions will show you how to use F16=Rebuild in the K3S_1020 screen to allocate extra inventory to a P.O. in order to reach a desired dollar, weight, volume, or purchase increment amount. bracket level setup for the minimum you want to build to. For example, if we need to build an order for M & M Mars for $5,000 we must make sure there is a bracket level set up for a Minimum of $5,000. After the bracket level is setup, you can begin with Step 1 below. Note: If you add the bracket levels today, you must use F21=Recalculate the supplier's order from the K3S_1020 screen to see the current and next level. 1. Start at the Main Menu and choose 4. Suggested orders and press Enter. 2. You are now on K3S_1010. Press F2=All to get all of your suppliers to appear. Now use 1=Select to pick the supplier you want to work with and press Enter. 3. You are now on the K3S_1020 screen as shown below. Notice that the Current level for this supplier is Level 1 for a Minimum of $3,000 and the Next level is Level 2 for a Minimum of $5,000. Also note that the current order for this supplier is $4,029, yet we want to build our order to a minimum of $5,000. 4. Now locate the ‘Rebuild level’ field under the ‘Entire order’ column. Place the number of the level that you want to build the order to in the ‘Rebuild level’ field. Example: We want to build to Level 2 in order to reach our minimum of $5,000. 5. Once you have entered the level you want to build to, press F16=Rebuild. This will bring up a window asking if you want to keep any overridden product quantities. Enter 0=No or 1=Yes (the default is 1=Yes) and press F16=Rebuild again to perform the Rebuild. 6. You are now back to the K3S_1020 screen as shown below and you will see a completion message saying “Order has been rebuilt”. 7. Check the units for the current order and you will see that it now reaches the desired level. For our example, we can see that this order has now reached the $5,000 Minimum with a cost of $5,381. You can see that the system added 7 extra days inventory throughout the line to reach the minimum of $5,000. |
