System and User Status Codes Definitions

System Codes are assigned by the system; you cannot change them.  Possibilities are:
   
    D    Discontinued

    L    Lumpy                  Deviation is > 50%, need lots of safety stock on these.
   
    S    Slow                     Sells less than 50 units a year.

    N    New                        These items must be given a starting average.

    R    Regular


User codes are put on by the user. Possibilities are:

    F    Forecast Frozen  Allows you to freeze the average for X number of days. The default is 30 days and you might want to use this on new items when you want to keep the average constant.

    P    Probation             These are products you want to monitor closely for any reason. The default is 90 days and the system still generates suggested quantities for these items.

    W   Watch                   This is similar to probation except there is no date associated with these items. Once something is on "Watch" it will be on "Watch" until you take it off. The system                                               still generates suggested quantities for these items.

    M   Manual                  The system will not automatically generate orders for these products.
